career research
Today I want you to conduct research into the career field that you are interested in. Think about the following things:
-Is there anybody in the area that you can talk to for some information or guidance?
-If college is involved, how will you pay for it? think about loan programs, student financial aid, parental contribution, part-time work, etc...
-How long after high school will it take until you can live the kind of life that you want to live?
Start to create a plan for the path you will take. Think about people, money, location, ability (be honest: can you do it? also, are you underestimating yourself?)
We are going to put together powerpoint presentations that highlight all of the details for how to be successful, and we will present those in the final 3 days of class.
Your presentation should be at least 10 slides in length, and you will need to speak for 4-5 minutes.
