English 3 final exam essay
The following quotations from American literature express ideas with which you may or may not agree. Choose one, then argue for or against the idea in a persuasive essay. After stating and explaining the quotation, indicate your opinion of it. Support your opinion with logical reasoning and examples. Include divergent views or relevant perspective other than your own, and explain why you disagree. Remember the power of language in presenting an argument: Choose vivid language and use rhetorical devices, such as parallel structure, rhetorical questions, or restatement or ideas to enhance the presentation of your position.
