Bill Cosby said, "I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody." Do you agree with his logic. Why or why not. Come up with a new quote of your own that means something similar.

I agree to this logic. I agree because if you live your life doing what everybody else waqnts you to do, you wont enjoy it and will fail. You should live life trying to please yourself and live up to your own expectations.
ReplyDeleteI agree with his quote because if you end up trying to please everyone then you will never reach your own goals and expectations. People will always see you as a nice person which is nice but you yourself will never get anything done.

i am currently typing up my rough draft and i'm almost done with that so today i will finish that and then find some graphics to go with my article.
I agree because if you try to please everybody, then you wont please yourself, which means you wont be yourself and that wont take you anywhere. "If you dont be yourself, you wont do what you can do and are good at, and you won't be successful."

Bill Cosby is right I totally agree with him. Basicly he is saying you cant worry about pleasing a bunch of people you have to focus on the people who are most important to you like your friends and family.

ReplyDeleteI do with his logic, because as we all know; not every is in harmony with everyone else. By trying to please a friend, you dissapiont the enemy of that friend. So, as you can see...you can't always get what you want, which is setting off your goals; so you can please everyone else in the world but you.

I think that quote is true because there is a wide range of people in this world and ther is no way on Gods green earth that you can please all of them. And my quote is i dont know anything about the key of success but the key of failure is trying to make everboby happy.

Pleasing people is something I think you should not do just to make them and yourself happy. My quote is I have no clue about the key of success but the key of failure is something that can make someone else happy, but not you personally.

yes i aggree with his philosophy because when we just live to please everyone not everyone is going to be happy with wat u have. so when it comes down to this not every one will be happy with wat they see so. If you dont want to be a failure dont spend a ll ur time trying to please everyone because you will be dissappointed with the outcome. =]

If you are not doing what you like but rather something that someone else wants it is a waist because you most likely you do not enjoy it. So yes i agree with this logic.

ReplyDeleteI think what Bill Cobsy said has a lot of truth to it. To have success you have to have the dedication and respect yourself enough not worry about everyone else. Yet the tricky part of this is its easy to get caught up with your life and become selfish. where the only thing that matters to you is yourself. To every thing in life there is balance. Not to selfish yet to care for others without letting them takeover your life. Always take a step back and see if your life is order.

ReplyDeleteTodays writing prompt, i agree to it because if you do something someone elce wants you to do then you wont want to do something you would like to do. In Miss.Aldea's class the movie Gift of Love this girl didnt do what she wanted to do but she did what was expected of herself by everyone elce. She was then told by the person she was going to marry go and be with the person you love. She did what she was told and she became happy. So do things you are told but also do what you would like to do.

ReplyDeleteI definitely agree with this statement. After all it is very true. You can't please everybody it's a fact of life. And if you spend all your time trying to defeat what is impossible to defeat then you won't ever move forward in life or get any closer to the goal you were once very focused on. I feel that these words are wise because it helps you realize not to be offended if you can't impress everyone because in all reality nobody can. Someone might admire you for your qualities but because not everyone is interested in the same topics someone else might not and that is ok. You must learn to accept that. "Don't try to grasp at something that isn't there. If you do, you will end up on the ground feeling hopeless and defeated."

I agree this statement about what Bill Cosby said! Well because when you are trying to please everyone around you then you won't get anywhere and thats not good. In your life you need to be your self. Its good to please someone but when you know whats right you will no what to do lol:]
