They tend to over-analyze poetry. I assume this poem is about parting ways and choosing paths in life, simply.

Our comments, the critic and mine, are similar. They thoroughly analyze, and tell of the lost Lenore and the sorrow and the fear. Also, the significant higher meaning is mentioned.

I think the author meant that these are the things your should love about someone. But i think the poem should mean that you should personally love everything about that special someone. no matter who they are, or how they act. :))

-This poem is all about love. The author and i probably agree that love is something that is special and you only want it the way you think it lives! Love is something this author sounds fairly crazy about.
    (I rate this poem about an 8 to a 9) =*)

What the author really meant was that there life might be hard. but when they fall asleep and dream happiness comes over them. they dream what they want and everything is peaceful and there not hated. but when the real day comes and you have to wake up the world is just sad and you cant stand to be in it.

What i think it means is that in your dreams you can think of whatever you want and it could always be good. dreams will take you wherever and your never hated or anything. i think there life isnt that great so when there awake they hate every minute of it. but when they dream everything is perfect.

I think this poems is just talking about how after something really bad happens you dont really care about anything anymore.

I tihnk the authors message is that after something bad happens everything goes bye slower than it normally does.

I think the poem who are you little i makes you think. I don't think the author really had an actual meaning for this poem. I believe he didn't use correct punctuation, capitalization, and all the other odd things to this poem because he wants the reader to wonder whatever they want and have a big imagination with it.

Some other critics believe different. I couldn't find what the author meant by it so i used what someone else thought. they thought it was about the beauty of life and having a youthful presence in himself. The little i stands for the "little in" "little i".

i think the author meant that the storms are a sense of the gods, and the ocean is the gods playground.
but what i think the poem should be about is really the storms are angers and they keep rising higher and higher, like storms in the ocean

-This was a poem that described friendship in a very detailed way. The author described friendship was how everyone wished they actually had with a friend. Friendship like that may exist but may fade away.! =*)

In the poem "The New Beginning" the author is talking about when she was a teen she had a hard like, so hard she even tried committing suicide. But then she found out that her sister is going to be having a baby. That is what changed her life around. The actual new beginning was when she first held her niece. It was her niece that made her life change around.

My interpretation of this poem was at the beginning of this girls life it was hard for her, and she even thought of taking her own life. But then a new baby came into the picture and it changed her life around. The new baby was almost like what she started living for. This is what my understanding of it was.

In the poem "I See Me" it describes how we all tend to hide our true self from the outside world in order to be accepted. We are never sure what we want to share and what we want to hide. But as we accept it we become more comfortable with ourselves and with other people. We constantly run from our weaknesses hoping that they will soon go away. But I have faced mine and realize I am anything but perfect in this world.

What this poem meant to me is how people hide who they truely are to be accepted. They make themselves something they are not to fit in with a crowd. They don't know what they can tell and what they have to hide. This is what I got out of this poem.

I mostly agree with what they are saying. She is writing about hope and how everyone and everything is looking to put you down and smash your hope. She uses a bird because a bird is free and can come and go as it pleases. Hope is like a bird. It frees us of fear and helps us. Yet a storm can put the bird to the ground and it can't fly. Hope can be put down by many people or things that happen to you.

This poem is about a traveler who is homesick. He is thinking about all the things going on at home right now and the things that are to happen. That's all this poem is about

what the author is saying is that he wants to be as good of friend to one of his friends that have been really good to him. Hes saying he wants to do everything a good friend would do to that person.

what i think this is about is that hes saying that he has a really good friend that treats him good. so he wants to treat him as good to him as he does.

-- What i think the poem of "i wandered lonely as a cloud" is about is that he was lonely and had like nobody near him.

I think the poem The Black Snake is about how fast death can come. As the truck runs over the snake he takes a life away in just seconds. The truck driver couldn't swerve so the snake was killed. Even though it was just a snake it was still the value of life the author was trying to get the reader to realize.

I didn't read all of the poem but I think Shakespare meant that one should not love if the one they love is gone.

The poem "A Noiseless Patient Spider" is one that my group discussed when we divided into the three group discussions. We came to an agreement that the author wrote this poem to represent a soul that is isolated and constantly searching for a specific thing. Personally, I believe that this poem is about a man who is relentlessly searching for his soul and who is blocking himself off from everybody and everything else until he finds it. However, I have a feeling that he would be able to find it if he would open himself up to other people. That is a brief explanation of both mine and the author's thoughts on this poem.

I believe that the poem "Tears, Tears, Tears" is about a person who lost a loved one at sea. Every night they go down to the coast and cry for the previously stated loved one. By morning they leave the shore and act like nothing is going wrong. However, I believe that the author is talking about a great but unnoticed storm. It comes by night, releases its raindrops and then blows away with the wind before the sun rises. Those are my thoughts as well as the author's intentions for this poem.

This poem is about a messy room. I think Shel's meaning was about a kid who blames his messy room on other family members.

This the poem Noiseless Patient Spider by Walt Whitman. They believe the author was talking about finding the meaning in the universe and having the courage to go out alone in to the unknown.
I think this poem means a lot of things. It is very symbolic. I think the spider is him and i think he means that he is waiting for something and searching.

This poem is about the question of "Whatif?". I think Shel was just trying to get people to ask these questions.

Though this poem is solely about a man who is picking apples and begins to feel weary, I believe the worthless apples that drop, bruise and spike, that are used to make cider because of their imperfection are considered worthless. This, to me, represents people who are different or considered unworthy to be part of some social group or place of status. Just because people are different from you doesn't mean you should chuck them into the scary depths of the cider cellar to use as cider-scrap. They are capable of the same if not greater tasks and have their own talents and abilities to add to any given situation. To me this poem is about expectancy, although surely the poet intended me to enjoy a poem about a sleepy man who is picking apples, and nothing more.

Though 'Annabel Lee' isn't always known to have double meaning I found that it meant children could love as much as angels, and old couples, and wise people. They're love can be stronger than anything The angels could tear apart with their bringing of the death of Annabel Lee. Though the poem is basically about an intense love that was being looked at as a memory where a girl died of a chill by the sea.

This is an analysis of who are you little i by E. E. Cummings. They believe the beautiful ways of things ending can apply to many things, even the dreadful things in life. When calling himself 'little i" he thinks it is showing the beauty a child is able to see even when they are so young.
