Irony

Follow this link to the oatmeal for a humorous explanation of Irony. Follow this link for even more information. After you get done working through the information at these sites, come back to my blog and post. Your post should explain what you have learned, and should include specifics from the articles you read.

  2. The second link didn't work.? What i learned was that Verbal irony occurs when someone is saying one thing but really meaning another. Dramatic irony happens when the audience knows the truth and the "actors" don't. Situational irony exists when you expect something and the exact opposite happens.

  3. From this blog I learned that irony is debatable but no one likes to be proven wrong so it is usually better to keep your mouth shut. Irony can be as far fetched as an oversized chinchilla to having too many spoons when all a person needs is a knife. Irony and sarcasm runs hand in hand at times.

  4. What i learned from this is that irony has many forms. Like verbal, dramatic, situational, and inspiring annoying arguments. Some people misuse irony and some one els knows what they ment to say but, they try and prove them wrong just to look smart to try and cause an argument. Some people mistake irony and sarcasm, its just a every day mistake.
